Norwalk Facilities Construction Program

The Norwalk Facilities Construction Commission (NFCC) was created by ordinance in August 2003 by the City of Norwalk's Common Council. With the City about to embark on the largest construction program in it's history, it became clear that it needed to completely reorganize its construction oversight process. The City needed to organize the planning and execution of these projects under one centralized citywide Building Committee, to assure that expertise and lessons learned were carried forward from project to project. The NFCC also serves as the standing School Building Committee.  

The NFCC's charge is to provide centralized oversight of all municipal and educational construction projects with a capital value of over $250,000. The NFCC has retained Gilbane Building Company to be its Program Manager, to provide day to day administration and oversight of all of the NFCC projects.
